format file efq

What is an efq file and how do I open an efq file?

An Ensoniq SQ1/SQ2/KS-32 file is saved with digital audio data compression and encoding standards implemented for some electronic keyboards. The content of an Ensoniq SQ1/SQ2/KS-32 file is stored in the EFQ format, and this file is appended with the .efq extension. The pieces of digital data that can be stored in an EFQ file includes settings integrated into a supported electronic MIDI keyboard. Other content that can be stored in an EFQ file may include musical notations, pitch and tone values associated to a particular set of features implemented in the compatible electronic MIDI keyboard. The Ensoniq SQ1 and SQ2 digital synthesizers were released in the 1990s, and these devices were implemented with support for these EFQ files. Another digital workstation keyboard model, which was also released in the 1990s and integrated with specifications and standards to support the usage of these EFQ files, is the Ensoniq KS-32 synthesizer. Newer models of electronic MIDI keyboards can now be connected and synched with computers running on widely used operating systems like Microsoft Windows, Mac and Linux platforms.
