What is a 1ph file and how do I open a 1ph file?
Files saved in the format .1ph are data files containing application code used by the TurboTax Deluxe software. These 1PH files are also called developer files, since the TurboTax Deluxe software references the data contained in these 1PH data files whenever a user accesses a specific feature available in this application. This feature is for providing a TurboTax Deluxe user with the ability to fill out a custom form following a tax return template. Intuit integrated this feature into the Microsoft Windows version as well as into the Mac version of the TurboTax Deluxe software, so these tax return templates and 1PH tax return form files are not directly loaded unto the application itself but rather referenced to conserve OS memory and RAM resources. This is also true with how files in the .1ph reference the tax return template documents of the TurboTax Deluxe application. It is ill advised to open these 1PH files as these are used by the TurboTax Deluxe application and contain encoded data which serve as code that aids the application in performing a feature requested by the user.
