format file xlt

What is a xlt file and how do I open a xlt file?

The .xlt file extension is used by templates that Microsoft Excel created. Since Excel is a spreadsheet program popular for creating spreadsheets, graphs and charts, .xlt files contain the default spreadsheet data and they are important when it comes to the creation of new excel files. These files can either be data that Excel provided or data that users created and they help a lot in allowing users to create numerous workbooks. Various Microsoft Excel versions such as Microsoft Excel Mobile support these .xlt files and can be used to open these files in a system. Aside from Microsoft Excel, there are also other applications that support these .xlt files like Lotus Translation Table, which is also a known database and spreadsheet program; Procomm Plus Translation Table, PDFCreator, Microsoft Application Virtualization as well as Microsoft Open XML Converter. Various applications can also be used to open these files aside from Excel alone and these are  PlanMaker, NeoOffice, LibreOffice Calc , OpenOffice.org Calc, etc.
