format file drf

What is a drf file and how do I open a drf file?

The VIZ render files are digital 3D images saved in the DRF format. The "DRF" in this file format stands for Discreet Render Format, and these DRF files are affixed with the .drf extension. The Autodesk Architecture software, particularly older versions of this program, is bundled with the VIZ Render application, and this program is used to create, open and edit the content of files in the DRF format. The content of a DRF file usually consists of rendered images that make up building designs among other modeled architectural designs of various structures developed and entered by the authors of the DRF files. The 3ds Max 2013 software can be used to open and view the content of these DRF files. There are versions of this application for Mac and Microsoft Windows-based systems. Users can only open and view the content of these DRF files with the Autodesk 3ds Max 2013 software (also developed by Autodesk), since this application is not implemented with support for saving projects in the DRF format, though users can export these DRF files into MAX projects, which are saved in the MAX format and appended with the .max extension.
