Rational Rhapsody makes use of graphical models to create real-time or embedded systems and software. It is a visual development environment which helps diverse teams and to collaborate to understand and elaborate requirements. PRP files are properties files which contain a list of properties that will be referred upon the creation of a data model through Rational Rhapsody. Such files are also similar to PTY files but are more interactive as it supports user-control. It can also be differentiated from PTY files because it is created for multi-user environments. Viewing and editing such files is only limited to its authoring software, which is the Rational Rhapsody. Manual opening and converting of PRP files are also discouraged as it may damage of corrupt your file.
