These image viewing activities are recorded in an ACDSee thumbnail  database file, which is integrated with encoding specifications proprietary to ACD Systems for storing ACDSee-specific content in the DTF file format. Affixed with the .dtf extension, these ACDSee thumbnail  database files may also contain keywords and text descriptions among other metadata details entered by an ACDSee user as the associated details of particular digital image files.
