format file bdf

What is a bdf file and how do I open a bdf file?

Files with the .bdf extension are known as data encoded in the Glyph bitmap distribution format, and these BDF files are classified as font files used by a wide variety of applications developed for font creation and editing purposes. The BDF file format was developed by Adobe Systems. When these BDF files are installed in the appropriate directories within the system, the supported applications that can use the content of these font files initially search for the correct BDF file as soon as the user requests for a font that is provided by the BDF file. Once found, these programs load the required content from the BDF file unto the system and its resource libraries, in order to provide users with access to implement the font that corresponds to the BDF file into their projects. Most of the applications that are integrated with support for these BDF files are from Adobe Systems, and these programs are implemented with compatibility support for widely used versions of Microsoft Windows.
