format file openbsd

What is an openbsd file and how do I open an openbsd file?

Files appended with the .openbsd extension are used as readme files by Unix systems running on the Open Berkeley Software Distribution or OpenBSD. These files are typical documents containing blocks of text, and these pieces of information found in an OPENBSD readme file contain specific details about a particular application currently or even previously installed in the OpenBSD Unix system. The OpenBSD Unix platform is mostly used in computers running as Web servers of a secure network. These OpenBSD Web servers are computers connected and accessible via the World Wide Web, though these are mostly more secure than Web servers running on other platforms because of certain third party firewall applications that can be used to convert an OpenBSD Web server into a network's first line of defense to protect and hide the entire network from third party users. Generally found in software installation disks, these files may also be stored in directories of the OpenBSD system that were created upon installation of the software applications. Files with the .openbsd extension can also be opened by standard text editors, especially more popular ones like Microsoft Notepad, and this text editor may also be used to create and edit OPENBSD files.
