format file opf

What is an opf file and how do I open an opf file?

The .opf file extension can be classified into a variety of file types. First, it can be an Open Packaging Format File or files formatted with the standard set by Open Packaging. Files with the .opf extension are more of e-book files as they mostly contain information about the e-book from the title to the author as well as other information about it. This is why these files can be opened using Adobe software. Second, it is also used for files created by the FlipAlbum software. This is software related to e-books since it is used to create digital photo albums and these .opf files refer to the photo album created using the software. .opf files contain settings of the album; its structure and image file references. These files can be viewed and shared with other people as well. The .opf file extension is also associated with FlipBook. This software is also related to e-books as it is also developed by E-book systems. However, this is more of a digital magazine wherein the files contain descriptions of the contents of a page whether these are images, texts, etc. These .opf files can be edited with any text editor because they can be formatted using the XML format.
