What is a rox file and how do I open a rox file?

The Roxio Project File is store in the ROX format and is affixed with the ROX extension and is used by Roxio. These ROX files are generally classified as data files that contain a disc compilation project of audio, video and data information. These XML formatted files also contain file references of disc information, such as the title, length, and track information. These files are derived from the Roxio Creator and may include the type of disc and a date and time string like for example- BurnAudioCDs_01-01-2010_123456.rox. They may also carry ROXIO file extension however ROX format is more popular than the abovementioned file.  There are two versions of the Roxio Creator software, the Creator and Creator Pro. The Creator is the basic edition while the Creator Pro includes LightZone photo tweaking program, built-in HD disc support, and the Sonicfire and SoundSoap audio mastering tools. The Roxio Creator software can be used in Microsoft Windows based systems to access and view ROX files.
