What is a mny file and how do I open a mny file?
The Microsoft Money File is stored in the MNY format and is affixed with MNY file extension and is used by Microsoft Money. These MNY files are generally classified as data files that contain financial data file such as multiple accounts, savings, checking, and investment accounts. These files can be exported to Microsoft Excel spreadsheet. By default, MNY files are saved in the My Documents folder. The Microsoft Money commercial software application had five editions namely Microsoft Money Essentials, Microsoft Money Deluxe, Microsoft Money Premium, Microsoft Money Home, and Microsoft Money Business. However this software was already discontinued in 2009 and a year after, a downloadable version called Microsoft Money Plus Sunset was released as a replacement. Existing Microsoft Money users were then allowed to upgrade their software to Sunset without additional charges. The Microsoft Money software can be used in Microsoft Windows based systems to access and view MNY files.
