format file rtx

What is a rtx file and how do I open a rtx file?

RTX is a text document format developed to serve as an alternative to RTF. Content with a wide variety of text formatting styles and page layout attributes may be saved as a text document in the RTX extension. In these text documents, blocks of text may be underlined, bolded or italicized by the user, and different font typefaces or styles may also be implemented into these RTX documents. Images and other digital objects mostly used for document presentations and templates may also be embedded into an RTX text document. Support for different font and background colors are also available in these RTX files. Popular word processing applications developed for Microsoft Windows and Mac platforms can create, open, view and modify RTX documents. These include Microsoft Notepad and Microsoft Wordpad for Microsoft Windows and Apple TextEdit for Mac. This provides users with wider cross compatibility support in terms of file sharing and document collaboration work using these RTX files in a wide variety of computers running on different platforms.
