format file pim

What is a pim file and how do I open a pim file?

Files that have been archived using the compression and data encoding specifications implemented into the PIM file format are affixed with the .pim extension. These generated compressed archives are known as PIM archive files. PIM files allow users to backup their important files into a hard disk in order to keep their files and save them especially if the computer is corrupted and needs to be fixed. PIM files are also produced in order to be delivered through email, especially if they are big files that need to be compressed in order to fit into a disk. PIM files can be opened in supported Windows operating system versions through the application called Avid Pro Tools. This application refers to a variety of Pro Tools aimed for composing, recording, editing, and mixing high quality digital music or sound. PIM files can also be opened in Linux platforms with this software, because this program has versions that are implemented with compatibility support for computers that run on Linux systems.
