A file with the .RVID extension is a video file created by Snapz Pro X, a screen capture and recording program. It saves a screen recording video in a proprietary format, and can be exported to standard video formats in the software so that it can be shared with others and online. Snapz Pro X is a utility software create for Mac OS X developed by Ambrosia Software. It is designed to record movie-like screenshots of a computer monitor doing various actions, such as a user clicking on desktop icons,moving their mouse across the screen, typing text, etc. RVID files created with versions of Snapz Pro X prior to version 2.5 cannot be rendered using the later version of the software. The .RVid files will be ignored by the current version.
