What is a prf file and how do I open a prf file?

PRF is an Outlook Profile file referenced by Microsoft Outlook that contains user information and preferences. PRF includes mail account settings, signatures, references to mail folders, and other settings. When Outlook imports a PRF file, user profile settings are immediately updated. Outlook which is primarily used as an email application, also features other elements such as the contact manager, task manager, note taking, a calendar and a journal. The software can also work with Microsoft’s Exchange Server where multiple users may share mailboxes and calendars, exchange files and schedule meetings. PRF files are user profile files containing information on the user such as signatures and references to mail folders, and other user preferences like mail account settings. Using Microsoft’s Office Resource Kit, PRF files can be created and the set out to multiple systems. When Outlook imports a PRF file, settings within the user’s account information are automatically updated. These files may also be converted to PDF and other file formats to manage them through other programs.
