What is a pot file and how do I open a pot file?

Files followed by the POT extension contain templates created by Microsoft’s PowerPoint, a well-known software used to create presentations with the use of slide shows. Microsoft PowerPoint also supports use of different media object such as images, audio and video files, hyperlinks and other multimedia objects that can be arranged freely. It may also be presented live on a computer, and navigated through at the command of the presenter. The presentation made may also be printed for a hard copy. POT files include data on the presentation’s layout, formatting, styles and other defaults for a slide show. Such files may be used to create multiple PPT files with the same formatting as it is saved as a template. To view POT file extensions, users may simply open it through Microsoft’s PowerPoint. Opening it through it’s authoring software enables you to edit and fully manage your presentation. Other presentation viewers may also be used.
